Growing Up At Rehema

patternC.png

Every child at Rehema Home is a life still unfolding.

Like something planted and carefully tended, each life here is growing in its own time. What we see today is only the beginning of who they are becoming.

What Mercy Can Become

Since Rehema Home has been around for over 27 years, many of our children are now adults.  While their lives are still unfolding, we do get to catch glimpses of how nurture, love and patience has made an impact.  Watch Alex's story to see what we mean.

Nurtured to Grow

Growth takes time.

It happens in ordinary moments, in learning, play, encouragement, and the steady presence of people who care. With time and care, small beginnings take root and grow into confidence, trust, and belonging.

What is nurtured here does not end here. It continues into families, communities, and futures still being shaped, from one life to the next.

Every life here is still growing. Thank you for taking the time to come close to these stories.

“We arrived as visitors but left as family. Christ is truly at the center of Rehema Home. We saw His love reflected in the children's joy, the way they embraced us as family, and the spontaneous songs they sang together about Jesus.”

“Rehema Home is doing the difficult, beautiful work of mercy. They are rescuing abandoned infants, offering holistic Christian care by not just providing a bed, but a family, and have a lifelong commitment to their kids into adulthood. In my own capacity as a U.S. Commander, I recognize an organization that is disciplined, compassionate and effective. They are a true home in every sense of the word.”

“I went to Rehema Home when I was 9 years old. I loved how joyful everyone was and that Jennifer taught me how to do a handstand. The kids of Rehema don't just live together or have somewhere safe to sleep, they are a family.”

Cadence R., New York

The best way to understand life at Rehema is to listen.

These conversations are led by the kids themselves. They ask each other questions about their favorite meals, the movies they love, what they want to be someday, and what makes them laugh.

You will hear curiosity, humor, and the small details that make each child unique.

This is everyday life at Rehema told by the kids who call it home.
