What if you started the new year a little differently?

Join us as we travel to western Kenya to spend the first days of 2027 with the Rehema Home family in Bukura.

This trip will be centered primarily at Rehema Home Bukura. We'll step into the everyday rhythms of the Home—spending time with the children, helping care for babies and toddlers, and tackling practical needs around the property alongside the people who live and work there every day.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

This trip will be centered primarily at Rehema Home Bukura. We'll step into the everyday rhythms of the Home—spending time with the children, helping care for babies and toddlers, and tackling practical needs around the property alongside the people who live and work there every day.  The exact project list will be developed with our Kenyan leadership as the trip approaches.

As with every Rehema Home trip, flexibility is part of the experience. The greatest moments may not be the ones we can put on an itinerary.

TRIP COST

$3,500 per person

Your trip cost includes the major expenses associated with traveling and serving together:

Included

  • Roundtrip airfare from JFK Airport to Kenya

  • In-country accommodations

  • In-country transportation

  • Meals while with the team

  • Visa cost

  • Team project/ministry expenses

  • One planned tourist/cultural excursion

Not included

  • Transportation to and from JFK Airport

  • Passport costs

  • Vaccinations, medications or other personal health expenses

  • Food purchased in airports

  • Souvenirs and personal shopping

We’ll provide specific payment deadlines and fundraising information as the team forms.

WHO SHOULD COME?

There isn't one particular kind of person we're looking for.

You don't have to have construction skills, previous mission experience or a particular professional background. You do need to be willing to serve, remain flexible, respect the people and culture welcoming us, and participate as part of a team.

And because this trip will spend significant time at Bukura, if holding babies, playing with toddlers and stepping into the wonderfully busy life of a home filled with little ones sounds like your kind of thing, this may be your trip.
