As many of you know, we both lost our spouses within the last few years after long bouts with cancer. We met and married last year and are very grateful to God for this gift He has given us in one another.
After much prayer, we have decided to spend a year or more working at an orphanage in Kenya serving over 100 kids. Although many of them are HIV-positive, they are well cared for and expected to live long, healthy lives.
Tom’s role will be their business administrator and Eunice will be their nurse. Like so many places, Rehema Home operates on a tight budget. Although we will be raising some support as missionaries, we will be serving with no compensation from Rehema Home.
However, we will need to purchase a vehicle to transport kids to the health clinic and meet our own personal transportation needs while we are stationed over there.
After our service commitment is completed, the vehicle will belong to Rehema Home for their continued use.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the purchase of this vehicle before we leave in September.
